How we check
We read each provider's own website, record what it publishes with the date we read it, and never overwrite an earlier observation.
Six questions for every provider
- What does the published price include, and what costs extra?
- Is there a written guarantee, and what does it cover?
- Who pays if the work has to be redone?
- Is the treating doctor known before you pay?
- What happens after you return home?
- When was this last checked?
What counts as a fact
A price, a package list, a guarantee period or a named doctor counts only if it appears on the provider's own website. Each is shown with the page it came from and the date we checked it. Figures from intermediaries, marketplaces and directories are not used.
When a provider's page does not state something, we say so, with the date. When we have asked the provider directly, we say how and when, and what they answered.
Freshness
Every price shows how long ago it was checked. A price older than 180 days, or past the validity date the provider states, stays visible but is no longer used in comparisons.
What we do not do
We do not give medical advice, say whether a treatment works, recommend providers, take bookings or payments, or collect health information. No provider pays to appear, and the order of providers is by published price, not by quality.
Corrections
When a figure turns out to be wrong or out of date, the correction is added as a new dated observation; the earlier record is kept. To report one, use the contact form.
